2011 Executive Committee
David Salzman
President 

David Salzman is president of the Ohio River Sternwheel Festival. He is responsible for opening and closing each meeting. He is an advisor to the Director General.
 
He is also the insurance coordinator for the festival. Salzman is responsible for all of the insurance for the festival, including barge insurance, insurance for any fundraising event, officers and directors insurance and insurance for trucks and golf carts used for the festival. He served as Director General in 2005 and 2010.  
 
Salzman is a registered nurse and currently works at Selby General Hospital as a staff nurse on the Med-Surgical Unit. Prior to that, Salzman worked at Marietta Memorial Hospital as a registered nurse in the Intensive Care Unit.  
 
Salzman graduated from Hocking College’s Registered Nurse program in 1994 and Washington State College’s (now Washington State Community College) Licensed Practical Nurse program in 1988. He is a 1970 graduate of Marietta High School. Salzman resides in Marietta.
 
 
 
 
 
Cheri Seevers
Director General

Cheri Seevers is Director General of the Ohio River Sternwheel Festival. She is responsible for the planning, supervision and conduct of the annual festival. She is also responsible for submitting the budget for approval and conducting monthly committee meetings.  
 
She is also on the Corporate Finance and Entertainment Facilities committees of the festival. This is her second time serving as Director General.  
 
Seevers is a registered nurse and currently works for Marietta Memorial Hospital as a Documentation Improvement Specialist. From 1988 to 2007 she was the Director of Nursing at Heartland of Marietta.
 
Seevers received an associate’s degree in nursing from Hocking College. She is a 1980 graduate of Marietta High School. Seevers and her husband Jeff have a son, JT. Seevers resides in Marietta with her husband and dog, Jewell.
 
 
 
 
Jon Coppernoll
Vice President

Jon Coppernoll is vice president of the Ohio River Sternwheel Festival. He is responsible for presiding over meetings if the president is unable to do so. The vice president becomes Director General of the festival following his or her term as vice president, subject to approval of the Board of Trustees of the festival.  
 
He also serves as the Community Relations chairperson of the festival.  
 
Coppernoll is employed by the Washington County Sheriff’s office as Major. As Major, he is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Criminal Division and the Jail Division of the department. Prior to Major, Coppernoll was Captain, Assistant Jail Administrator, Executive Officer, Lieutenant and Road Patrol Deputy, which is where he started his career.
 
Coppernoll is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology from Ohio University. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy and holds an associate’s degree in Police Science from Hocking College. He is a 1984 graduate of Marietta High School. Coppernoll and his wife, Cathy, reside in Marietta.
 
 
 
 
Cathi Cummins
Recording Secretary

Cathi Cummins is recording secretary for the Ohio River Sternwheel Festival. She is responsible for recording the minutes of each committee meeting. She is also responsible for setting up all of the meetings for the year.  
 
She is also chairperson for the Photo Contest and the Valley Gem Race Ride committees. She served as Director General in 2002.
 
Cummins is retired after 31 years of service as secretary for Wood County Schools in West Virginia, spending 21 of those years at Williamstown High School. She is still actively involved with the schools and teaches line dancing to the tenth grade physical education classes at Williamstown High School.
 
Cummins went to West Virginia University for two years and majored in Education with a concentration in Physical Education and English. She is a 1960 graduate of Parkersburg High School. She has a son and a daughter, who both live in Tampa, Fla. Cummins resides in Williamstown.
 
 
 
 
Bonnie Parks
Corresponding Secretary

Bonnie Parks is the corresponding secretary for the Ohio River Sternwheel Festival. She is responsible for getting the mail, maintaining an accurate log of all mail and distributing the mail to various committee chairpersons and officers. She is also responsible for recording the minutes of a meeting in the absence of the recording secretary.
 
She is also the chairperson of the Hospitality and the Captains Gifts/Race Prizes committees. She also assists with the ordering of committee shirts. She served as Director General in 1999.  
 
Parks is temporarily working for Paul Bertram III as a legal secretary. She has been retired for a year and a half from working in the law profession as a legal assistant. Prior to that she was a certified laboratory technician at St. Joseph’s Hospital.  
 
Parks attended Marietta Memorial Hospital’s certified medical laboratory technicians program from 1968 to 1969. She is a 1967 graduate of Marietta High School. Parks has three married sons and five grandchildren. Parks resides in Marietta.
 
 
 
 
Aaron Huck
Treasurer

Aaron Huck is treasurer of the Ohio River Sternwheel Festival. He is responsible for reporting receipts and disbursements of funds at each meeting. He is also responsible for submitting financial reports as well as assisting in the budget process.
 
Huck is also a member of the fundraising committee and has helped the committee prepare for the 5K run and walk that is held each year.
 
He is treasurer at Blauser Energy Corporation where he maintains accounting records and prepares financial reports. Huck began working there after college doing accounting work and other business work related to the oil and gas industry.
 
Huck received an associate’s degree in Accounting Technology from Muskingum Area Technical College (now Zanesville State College). He is a 1976 graduate of Fort Frye High School. Huck resides in Beverly.
