Join us for the Ohio River Sternwheel Festival in Marietta, Ohio!
Warm memories are made in Marietta, Ohio, home of the Ohio River Sternwheel Festival. One by one, from up river and down, the sternwheelers arrive in Marietta, Ohio, home of the American Sternwheel Association. They come to The Riverboat Town, to have some good ol' fashioned fun at the event of the year - the Ohio River Sternwheel Festival!
All events are FREE, and the atmosphere is festive and friendly. Marietta invites you to come early and stay late. Enjoy the continuous weekend entertainment, choose refreshments from the various vendors and enjoy the sights, sounds, and smells of the 34th Annual Ohio River Sternwheel Festival!
It's always the weekend after Labor Day. The 2009 Festival will be held September 11, 12 and 13 at the Ohio River Levee on the corner of Front and Greene Streets in downtown Marietta.

Be a Musical Star at the Ohio River Sternwheel Festival Talent Contest

PRIZES: 1st and 2nd place winners will perform at the 2009 Ohio River Sternwheel Festival, 1st place winner will also be a guest at the meet and greet gathering with Academy of Country Music Award Winner - Jake Owen.
CONTESTANT ENTRY FEE: $25.00 – single or duet act -- $10.00 for each additional performer -- $5.00 for each assistant (“roadie”)
GENERAL ADMISSION FEE: $5.00/person over 12, under 12 n/c

Jake Owen is a Grammy-Award nominated American country music artist. Signed to RCA Records Nashville in 2005, Owen released his debut album Startin' with Me that year. This album produced three singles ("Yee Haw", "Startin' with Me" and "Something About a Woman"), all of which reached Top 20 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts. A fourth single, "Don't Think I Can't Love You", was released in 2008 as the first from his second album Easy Does It.
